Work your way through this horrific storyline

Personally I love a good war game, and am also a big fan of the horror genre (not at night-time though). Hence, I really enjoyed Anderson and the Legacy of Cthulhu as it manages to blend the two to good effect. Part of the appeal of the game is the interesting way it blends story narration with creepy gameplay to create a unique interactive experience.

You simply click on a chapter of the book to enter the narration before being whisked into battle in the way you would in a normal action game. Graphically, the game makes good use of lighting effects to keep things pretty eerie, although the backgrounds and characters are a little simplistic. That said, Anderson and the Legacy of Cthulhu boasts a cracking soundtrack that's enough to put the willies up even the most hardened horror fan.

Anderson and the Legacy of Cthulhu is a playable horror novel based upon the "Cthulhu" myth by H. P. Lovecraft. Game, movie and audio book are merged into one great experience that is dedicated to telling a story that is among the best in dark mystery and pure horror.

The player impersonates Robert D. Anderson, a hard-boiled private investigator from NY who is glad that noone knows his real name: Robert Dietrich, Freiherr von Landers, last successor of an old noblemen family from Bavaria.

After an incident in Providence, he is forced to travel into the 3rd Reich in order to examinate his origins. At the castle of his ancestors, occupied by fanatic SS troops and worshippers of the "order of the Black Sun," Robert discovers secrets that could endanger mankind itself...
